NeuroEmotional Technique (NET)

NET is a technique for detecting and resolving emotions, which our bodies hold in our cells, joints and organs. If you’re in a weakened state due to factors such as stress or physical trauma, everyday emotional responses may not fully move through your body like they naturally should. These emotional chemicals will get stuck in our cells, which we call cellular memory. This is similar to muscle memory like learning to ride a bike or shoot a basketball. Later in our lives, when we experience a similar situation, an old emotional response can kick in and create problems with our body.

Many chronic aches and pains as wells as symptom such as brain fog, anxiety, and fatigue can be due to emotions. Individually, we rarely see the link between a past event and our present situation. This is where NET is crucial — NET can help identify an old unresolved event (real or imagined) and help your body release its lingering emotional response, for good. People used to think that emotions resided entirely in their brain. Now we know that other parts of the body can hold emotional charges too. Have you ever felt butterflies in your stomach before a speech? Have you referred to something as a “pain in the neck?” Have you ever felt a “lump in your throat?” Clearly emotions happen in our body, not just our brain.

NET practitioners can find unresolved, negatively-charged emotional responses that are stored in your body and help you release them. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it can dramatically improve your health. Finding “trapped” or conditioned memory loops is done with the help of simple muscle reflex testing. This helps determine if your body is in harmony with a particular concept or idea, which is linked to an unresolved emotional event. To make the correction, you’ll form a mental picture – a “snapshot” – of the original triggering event. Your body will physiologically assume an emotional state similar to the way it originally reacted. Then we will contact (or ask you to contact) a specific body point that is associated with the unresolved emotional response. This helps your body release the emotion linked to the event. It’s that simple!

After the correction, many patients report feeling that a heavy weight has been lifted from their shoulders. NET is safe and effective and is a natural way to instantly resolve long-standing health problems by resolving the emotional components that accompany the physical symptoms.

Initial Assessment

The therapist and client start with an initial assessment session where they get to know each other. The therapist asks questions to understand the client's presenting concerns, personal history, current life circumstances, and goals for therapy. This helps in establishing a therapeutic alliance and creating a treatment plan tailored to the client's needs.

Establishing Goals

Based on the assessment, the therapist and client collaboratively set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for therapy. These goals serve as a roadmap for the therapeutic process and provide direction for the sessions.

Exploration and Insight

In subsequent sessions, the therapist creates a safe and supportive environment for the client to explore their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Through reflective listening, empathy, and insightful questioning, the therapist helps the client gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their life experiences.

Skill Building

Therapy often involves teaching clients coping skills and strategies to deal with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, communication issues, or other mental health concerns. These skills may include relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, problem-solving skills, mindfulness practices, and boundary-setting exercises.

Building Self Confidence

Therapists help clients cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. Through validation, positive reinforcement, and encouragement, clients learn to challenge negative self-perceptions, build self-esteem, and develop a greater sense of confidence and self-worth.

Monitoring Progress

Throughout the therapy process, the therapist and client regularly review progress towards the established goals. Adjustments to the treatment plan may be made based on the client's evolving needs and progress.
